AngelCentral Review Committee (ARC)

At AngelCentral, we are committed to building competent angel investors who contribute meaningfully to the startup ecosystem. The ARC is one of the ways we achieve this — by giving members hands-on exposure to evaluating startups, engaging with founders, and participating in investment committee discussions.

The AngelCentral Review Committee (ARC) is made up of AngelCentral partners and a group of our active angel investors. Together, we help identify, evaluate, and guide high-potential startups toward successful fundraising by curating who gets to pitch at AngelCentral’s monthly Pitch Days.

Selection Criteria

Geography: AngelCentral focuses on SEA markets, though we sometimes feature strong founders / good startups beyond SEA, with interesting ideas or models.

Sector: Agnostic

Stage: Seed to Pre-B. If you are a pre-seed startup, we expect full-time founder commitment and you should already have a working entity to execute the business with.

Review Process

All funding requests will be reviewed only with completed application details on the AngelCentral system. We do not review applications or decks sent via emails. Please complete your application here. Please note that the ARC and AngelCentral Partners do NOT make investment decisions for our members. While the ARC consists of active angel investors, the Committee's selection decisions should not be deemed as investment decisions.

Founders should take note sometimes the review processes may take longer than 3-4 weeks. You are encouraged to send in your funding request to us as early as possible. Companies' pitching dates are assigned on a first come first serve basis.

Here's how the process works:

Application Review

Our partners review and screen all completed applications via the platform. Applications that meet our selection criteria are activated on the investor module for our members' access and discovery.

Follow-Up by ARC Members

Interested ARC members will send out further clarifying questions via email and request/ arrange face-to-face interviews with the founders where relevant. The purpose of these interviews are to assess the progress of the businesses and also the funding readiness.

Monthly Investment Committee Discussion

On a monthly basis, the committee meets and discusses the interviews that they have had, and agree jointly to select companies that AngelCentral will invite to participate in our monthly pitch days.

Pitch Day Invitation

ARC members will pass the startup to AngelCentral team to invite for pitch day. We aim to have four pitching companies monthly, and the slots are filled on a first come first serve basis.

Committee Members

The committee members volunteer their time to meet with founders, assess readiness for funding, and share their insights within the committee and club.
